TRANSLATIONS
TRANSLATIONS is a live improvisation-based performance, in collaboration with Matthew Wakefield, during which artist, musician, and audience interact to create a piece which reflects our experience of the atmosphere of the space. Reacting to sound, movement and mark-making, we attempt to 'translate' the environment we encounter and consequently construct. We invite the audience to help shape the performance by interacting with electronic equipment. This is then worked back into the drawing.
TRANSLATIONS, collaborative performance with Matthew Wakefield, water-soluble graphite and watercolour on paper, cello and electronics, variable size and durations depending on performance (eg. 150 × 600 cm, 2.5 hours in Modern Art Oxford, 180 × 420 cm, 2 hours in the Dolphin Gallery, St. John's College), 2025 30 × 30 cm, 2024
