Easing Back In

Images of starting points

It’s been a little while since I’ve posted on here. I reached the end of my first academic year at the Ruskin, and I think I’ve needed some space to think about where I want to go from here, without the pressure of trying to fully form thoughts or ideas. Instead, I’d like to share some images of starting points: places, objects, and pictures that have caught my attention, as well as some of my recent sketchbook pages, and a quote that I’ve enjoyed. I’m not going to try to articulate the connections just yet, but I wanted to share some of where I’m at.

St Mary's Church, Masham

Log boom cradle construction, Port Blakely, Washington, between 1893 and 1906

Fritz Horstman, Formwork for the East River, 2017, Wood, Latex Paint, Wood Panel
